The MM-6 Hybrid Digital Amplifier is a high quality Hi Fi Amplifier which has been designed to provide maximum flexibility for replay of music via digital media. It has a USB, an optical and an analogue input which means that if you want to stream high quality music from your laptop, PC or Apple Mac, play music via an optical input or via a standard analogue line auxillary input, it will cater for all your needs. The MM-6 achieves this by employing a high quality, on board Digital to Analogue Converter which means that you can avoid significant outlays on external Digital to Analogue Conversion devices. Whilst it is a flexible integrated amplifier boasting no less than 150 watts per channel of high quality power, it also has a 'pre out' output so it can be used in conjunction with a power amplifier as a pre amplifier.
The facia is finished in black, brushed aluminium with a glass display window for the vacuum tube and the body is finished in black steel. This is a substantial, well constructed product.
As a hybrid valve / transistor amplifier, it benefits from the blend of the two technologies by producing a tonally balanced, full and smooth sound backed up by plenty of power and effortless dynamics. It employs a massive toroidal power supply, one 6N2 vacuum tube, a high quality gain control, and substantial, gold plated binding posts for secure speaker cable connections. It comes in a standard hi fi separates size which means that it will easily slot into a standard Hi Fi racking system.
